Once a week place pebbles along the tip of the shadow of the stick from about 11AM until about 1PM *standard* time (not daylight savings time). Find which pebble is closest to the stick and leave it there, removing all other pebbles. Repeat for a year. At that point in time you will have a collection of pebbles that describes a figure '8' (an Analemma). Label the each pebble with the date. Now you can find local solar noon very accurately. -- Brian Lloyd, WB6RQN/J79BPL 706 Flightline Drive Spring Branch, TX 78070 br...@lloyd.com +1.916.877.5067 _______________________________________________ time-nuts mailing list -- time-nuts@febo.com To unsubscribe, go to https://www.febo.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/time-nuts and follow the instructions there.
