When there are extraneous characters and a line feed added by some word 
wrapping I use this method: 

1) "Forward" the email 
2) delete the extra characters, getting the proper URL back
3) Copy the URL to the clipboard
4) Open browser and paste URL in

After that, trash the "forward" email.

The link below worked fine on a Chrome browser after I did the above.
