Hello All,

Following recent posts I fired up my NavSymm / Symmetricom Proteus GPSDO to see how it copes with the week number rollover. Sure enough it is confused: Satellite receiption is fine and the XO locks to GPS but it thinks today is the 25th of August 1999, week number 1024. The firmware version is 1.3b if this means anything to somebody.

So, as a frequency standard (which is what I use it for) it still works, but the date info on the serial port is useless, as is the Arduino module I built to display date and time on the front panel...

The problem is compounded by the fact that there is a bug in the PC software (CDU version 1.1B) which is used to configure the unit. It looks like there is a way to send the correct date to the box but the Initialisation tab from which this is done makes the software crash (runtime error). This has always been like that, it has nothing to do with the rollover - so far this didn't bother me since there was no need to use this tab.

Anyway, is anybody else keeping one of these timing units alive, and is there a fix for the rollover issue on it?

Thanks,

Thomas.
