I do not think that is a jammer unless it was placed on my van.
Today the offset changed.
The minutes remained at 40 but the hours changed.
I have opened a ticket with Magellan about this.
I am not real happy with their products, the POI database was wrong
right after an update and they will not release a tool to correct this.
This database is XML so tools do exist.
I am waiting for their reply to this ti\me decode issue before I start
changing database entries.
It still navigates well and I have been able to change time zones so
that the time is now only 10 minutes off.
I think that I set GMT offset to plus 5.5 hours where it should be - 5
hours.
I do not know of a way to display day number on this device.
That may be a clue, if I can get it to display date.
Thanks for the information.
I will continue to pursue this with Magellan and let the group know
their answer.
I might be a hardware failure in my unit, but, I do not think so.

================================
Glenn,
You would have thought that if it was a firmware/software issue there would
have been many more reports - is there a user group somewhere? If yours is
the only report it suggests your unit is faulty, so I hope it's within it
guarantee period. If not, and you are unhappy with Magellan, perhaps it's
time for a change?
No chance it was a voltage spike or RF getting into the unit? Can you
reload the firmware?
Good luck, and please let's know how you get on.

David GM8ARV
