Dan, I think that sounds like the rcvr going. Search the time-nuts archives. That may help you. If thats the case there were also comments on alternate receivers though all of those are old and hard to come by. I also have a 3801 but do not run it all the time. Another issue is that the oven controller can overheat and makes quite a mess. Good luck. Regards Paul WB8TSL
