I just finished reading Einstein's Shadow by Seth Fletcher (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075WSLWFX/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1).
It's a pop-science story about the development of the Event Horizon Telescope and the quest to image a black hole. It was published just before the recent announcement that they've done it. I'm mentioning it here only because it makes several references to masers (installed at all the radio telescope sites) and even mentions the Microsemi MHM-2010 by name. But even without that, it's a pretty good read.
