I've got a pair of 125 Mhz osc that I would like to see if someone
could measure the noise profile on. I would be willing to pay for the
inconvenience if someone was willing.
The first oscillator is a W6PQL design with an integrated OCXO. The
crystal was a low PN type designed for OCXO applications - back when
ICM was still in the biz.
The second oscillator is a Conner Whitfield low noise VCXO module with
a MC BPF.
These are used to drive a QS1R which I use for some close in
measurement stuff. The same osc, after a pair of doublers, drives an
ADI DDS which I use as a sig source for some bench applications as well.
But I never can be very sure what the observed results are out of
these two because both the QS1R & DDS performance depends on the
underlying master osc feeding them.
My goal is not really to get a full time-nut level evaluation, but
rather some general indication of what the noise looks for the two
oscillators. I don't have a way to check that here hence the question.
