I built a 48 volt discrete linear supply into my Z3801 about 18 years ago. Still works fine. It was a tight squeeze but managed to fit it in behind the front panel. I replaced the plug on the back with a standard 3 pin socket assembly. I also replaced the top cover with fine coper screen to get rid of the extra heat generated by the supply. Regards - Mike

What's the latest in off-the-shelf power supplies (external is fine, uncased is fine)? There were plenty of suggestions on the list a few years back, and I can pick one of those up, but hey, someone else might have walked this path before more recently. Or, should I go get 4 12V sealed lead acid, 4 12V wallwart trickle chargers and make a 48 Volt supply? (I can't imagine it would be cheaper than some Meanwell PS) _______________________________________________ time-nuts mailing list -- [email protected] To unsubscribe, go to http://lists.febo.com/mailman/listinfo/time-nuts_lists.febo.com and follow the instructions there. _______________________________________________ time-nuts mailing list -- [email protected] To unsubscribe, go to http://lists.febo.com/mailman/listinfo/time-nuts_lists.febo.com and follow the instructions there.
