Just a note the thanks to all who helped with the info on the above
gpsdo and the gps engine manuals. Now in the rack and seems rock solid
compared to a 10MHz gpsdo.
Looking at the Trimble manual, looks like a standard Trimble protocol.
Will connect a serial analyser inline to find out what subset of the
command set is being used, and if that is compatable with later
Trimble gps engines. Not that it matters for a frequency standard
application, but might be useful for timing work...
