8.1 eV or 153 nm is in the vacuum ultraviolet. You might want to buy a little stock in KM labs at https://www.kmlabs.com/news-and-events/hyperion-vuv-talk . I had no idea that lasers like that were possible. Such atomic clocks should be able to see 1 mm difference in altitude between them.
