I'm having the same issue. However for me it's missing because I'm
subscribed to the Digest version of the time-nuts list.
I suspect perhaps that's where John is having issues also?

John I could see the embedded comic strip directly. Must be some sort of
filtering perhaps by your provider.

It used to be that there was a message saying something had been removed,
but there was then a link at the end of the post to retrieve the attachment.
The 'removed' messages are still there, but the links have been absent for
the past few weeks.
