I did a thing: https://github.com/charlieh0tel/irig
which is to make tg2.c compile by itself on Linux and work with portaudio. It works well for me at 48 KHz sample rate, which is available on most codecs (unlike 8 KHz), including typical USB audio dongles. Tested on Ubuntu 21.10 x86_64 and Raspbian 11 vs my Kode TTE 374-642 IRIG time display.
