Correction, my bad.

On that last 0-5V positive-going PPS interface, the connection should have been:

0-5V PPS >------||---+----------> DCD
               10 uF |
                     +--/\/\/---< -5V
                     |   10K
                     +--/\/\/---< GND
                         10K

Since it's a *positive*-going pulse, you want the system to start biased
negative.  -5V is usually the single *white* wire on the motherboard
connector.  That's a bit more awkward to get to than the common molex
drive connectors, but still pretty easy.

Cooking it up to +5V wouldn't have hurt anything, but it wouldn't
have worked, either.
