I would add to the "use ntpd" that you should try very hard to get a
recent version.  I have a friend who colocs on my net and is using
freebsd with an older version of ntp.  It consistently runs runs
20-50ms further from true time than my debian boxes with newer
versions of ntp.  The newer versions also seem to sync much more
quickly and have many other bug fixes.  


Also, I'm not so sure about the recommendation not to use the LOCAL
clock driver.  If the stratum is low enough, which it should be, it
will never be synced with.  That is, unless, there is a network
outage, and then it will provide more accurate time and a quicker
recovery.

Other than that, I think it is very good.
