The most simple explanation would be that Internet connectivity was lost 
between 195.234.108.159 and the pool server that checks up on you but that 
195.234.108.159 still had access to other parts of the Internet.

I have seen it often. The only reliable way to monitor a server Internet 
connectivity ( or a network of servers ) is to query them from various 
locations on the planet using various Internet connectivity providers.
