I was referring to the problem that will occur when monitoring becomes
distributed from multiple vantage points worldwide. (I believe I read
here before that was a goal for the monitoring system).

I suppose if it were kept simple, there could still be a central
server to collect all of the monitoring data from around the world and
score servers, rather than having monitors in each region merge
results from each other (Which would be more fault-tolerant).
