Opposite of my finding.

In fact, I find that most of the insane clients poll more frequently
when the server doesn't reply or replies with wacko and/or
Kiss-Of-Death packets. It's so bad that I find that not replying,
or replying with kiss-of-death to abusive clients, will triple or
quadruple my overall request rate (some of the insane clients
go from once a minute to multiple requests every second in
response to kiss-of-death.)

(I'm surprsied we don't talk more about Kiss-Of-Death here.
It's just so fun to use the phrase!)
