our gps head is mounted on the roof of a public building. is there some kind of monitor, maybe for nagios or whatever that can monitor the gps signal or pulse or something to determine when there is total loss of satellites? we are concerned with theft of the gps unit and would like to know whenever there is loss of signal. we use nagios for all other system monitoring which works well.. maybe there is some kind of daemon to run on the time server which monitors and sends either ok / bad signals to nagios? we are using gpsd on the time server.
