Of course not.  But I can tell you that $1000 is pocket change for 
someone building a CCTV system with a few cameras and a digital 
recording device.

At work we recently needed to setup one in a hurry, and got a quote for 
such a system that was infeasible due to the amount of work required to 
deploy it.
They still use baseband video over coax which means lots of cable.

As this needed to work quickly and temporarily, we bought a couple of 
Axis network cameras with WiFi, some WiFi access points and a PC with a 
big disk.
Works over the existing network with the convenience of WiFi for 
bridging the last couple of meters between a network jack and the camera 
position.

This records very nice pictures and it is mainly preventive anyway.  
Time is of course synced to the local NTP server which is again synced 
to a DCF-77 receiver and a pool server for backup.
Also it is more than an order of magnitude cheaper...

In a quote for the real system plus installation cost you would not 
notice the $1000 for the time receiver, believe me.
