Hi Richard, I've been running these scripts on my pool server for about five days now, and they seem to work very well. Thank you for the contribution. I've always had a fair share of abusive clients, according to the ntp_clients_stats script that I run from Wayne Schlitt. At least now there's an automated way to deal with them, instead of manually choosing which client's requests to drop. One thing I'm not quite clear on is the variables in the awk code in the conntracka script. You have some brief comments in there, but I was wondering if you could elaborate on them a bit, as I would like to tinker around. I'm not fluent with awk, otherwise I'm sure I could figure it out.
