I would suggest asking at news://comp.protocols.time.ntp aka Google
Groups. Perhaps also at the LinuxPPS mailinglist.

Up until a year or two ago, I ran a Jupiter with minimal trouble using
the binary mode with the Jupiter_refclock driver from the stock ntpd
distribution. This was on a linux 2.4-kernel with PPSkit-patches.

I no longer have a Jupiter receiver.
