<p>Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- The Unborn Victims of Violence Act
now heads to President Bush after the U.S. Senate on Thursday handed
pregnant women and their unborn children a major victory.</p>
<p>With a filibuster proof vote of 61-38, the Senate has done what the
House has done several times before. This law will protect women from
their abusive boyfriends and spouses who might try to cause an abortion
by physically attacking them. It does nothing to overturn Roe v. Wade,
there is no slippery slope.</p>
