alt="Topic: Environment " height="75"></a><cite>Yesterday was the 34th
anniversary of the first "Earth
Day," founded by former U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson, who modeled his
anti-capitalist protests after anti-Vietnam War demonstrations of that
era. Today, the so-called "environmentalist movement" has evolved
(devolved some might say) from a gaggle of adolescent peaceniks into a
slick cadre of lobbyists and lawyers, who are responsible in large
measure for the enormous hidden tax on American products and services
-- the cost of regulation (more than a trillion dollars last year). The
populist wing of environmentalism now operates under the aegis of the
Left's cult of Latter Day Eco-theologists (earth-worshipers). Observing
Earth Day from his luxury suite in a Houston hotel, the movements
titular head, John Kerry, noted, "In three short years, this president
has put the brakes on 30 years of environmental progress."</cite></p>
<p>And this is the guy some people want to elect President?<br>
</p>
<p>Bush has only taken a step back to assess the costs of environmental
regulations. Enviornmentalists never stop to consider the cost.&nbsp;
They just want to run our economy into the ground.&nbsp; Bush doesn't
want to see that happen.&nbsp; Remember, "It's the economy,
stupid."<br>
