The Ten Thousand Commandments “Last year, federal government regulations cost the economy over $800 billion, according to a report from The Cato Institute titled The Ten Thousand Commandments. Most of them required no oversight or approval from Congress or the president.“ This is one of the biggest problems I have with the Federal government. They never stop to ask, “How much is this going to cost businesses?” This was especially true with the Endangered Species Act, which has proven to be ineffective and has cost untold millions of dollars.
