Now, the good news

The bad news, our SC legislature was the "Porkers of the Month." The good news, CCAGW's 2003 Congressional ratings were released and our Representative Jim DeMint got a 95% favorable rating.
"The Council for Citizens Against Government Waste has released the 2003 Congressional Ratings, a report card on the first session of the 108th Congress. The Ratings reveal that Congress was on a massive spending spree last year. For the first time since 1994, there were no CCAGW Taxpayer Superheroes (with scores of 100 percent) in either the House or the Senate. The House had only 68 Taxpayer Heroes with scores of 80 percent or above, compared to 80 Heroes in 2002. In the Senate, there were only 11 Taxpayer Heroes, down from 24 the prior year. Click here to see how your elected officials measure up."
DeMint's great rating from CAGW is one of the reasons he might pick up a lot of libertarian votes. Fiscal conservatives love him.
