Tax Cut Extension Would Hurt Middle Class, Liberal Group Claims
"The liberal/conservative split over tax policy is sharpening as the presidential election nears. Wednesday, an official with the liberal Center on Budget and Policy Priorities said America's middle class stands to be hurt by an extension of President Bush's tax cuts. "
I directly benefited from the Bush tax cuts, but they weren't large enough. The money I got back last year allowed us to put down earnest money and build our house.
The so-called expert mentioned in the article says "the middle class could suffer if the president's previous tax cuts have to eventually be offset by cuts in spending." Imagine that, the federal government might actually have to cut spending because of tax cuts. What a novel idea, why didn't I see that coming.
That's part of the point, you bozo! We want the government to cut spending. The only way to do that is to cut the amount of money we allow them to take from our pockets.
"The president cut taxes last year and we had the fastest economic growth in 20 years."
Sounds good to me, let's cut taxes some more!
