'Incredibles' Rakes in an Amazing $70.7M
"The Incredibles" lived up to their name at the box office as the animated superhero adventure debuted with $70.7 million in its opening weekend, continuing an unbroken string of hits for Pixar Animation.
Pixar earned every dollar it took in this weekend. Rachel and I saw the movie on Saturday night and we loved it. This is Pixar's best work yet. Don't miss it, you have to see it on the big screen!
Whoever wrote the script has watched a lot of James Bond movies. Some of the scenes were right out of "Moonraker." Then they mixed in a healthy dose of the X-Men and Indiana Jones.
There were a lot of jokes that went over my daughter's head, but that's OK. The movie entertains on so many different levels.
I loved the concept of a family of superheroes who end up saving the world together. The slightly overweight aging father, the stretchable bendable mother, the invisible teenage daughter and the faster than the speed of sound son make a great team. I won't spoil the ending, but the infant isn't the abnormal one in the family.
