Abortion Advocates Say Wal-Mart Should Stock Morning After Pills
The world's largest retail chain is coming under fire from abortion advocates because it does not stock the morning after pill at any of its 3,000 locations. Wal-Mart operates more pharmacies in the United States than any other chain, but it will not stock the Plan B drugs, which sometime cause an abortion.
Why does NARAL think they can demand that Wal-Mart carry any product? There is no inherent right to purchase Plan-B from any merchant. If a merchant doesn't think they should carry it, they don't have to carry it. If Wal-Mart thinks carrying Plan-B will hurt it's corporate image then they have every right to refuse to stock it.
These extremists really hurt the image of the people who think abortion should be "safe, legal and rare." Demanding that a store carry an abortifacient makes NARAL look like the extermists they really are.
The irony of it is, these same people probably think Wal-Mart should not carry firearms and ammunition in their stores.
