I'm not sure the President did the smartest thing by making John Bolton a recess appointment. This is going to make some Senate Democrats angry. They've accused President Bush of with-holding important documents about John Bolton and now he's stepped over them to make Bolton the new U.N. ambassador.
Next month, the President has to fight the Democrats over John Roberts appointment to the Supreme Court. Democrats are already making the same charges, the Whitehouse is with-holding important documents. This does not bode well for a speedy SCOTUS confirmation.
