I don't know the specifics of the Jack interface, but the core mixing routines in TiMidity mix all the individual MIDI channels down into 2-channel stereo prior to passing them any output interface. I haven't looked at the server code, so perhaps this is different now, but I'd guess that TiMidity is probably passing pre-mixed 2-channel audio to jack, and that there is no way to pass individual pre-mixed rendered MIDI channels to jack, at least not without significant changes to the TiMidity source. As I said, I'm not familiar with the server code or jack interface, so someone familiar with the jack interface can correct me if I'm wrong here. -Eric ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Crystal Reports - New Free Runtime and 30 Day Trial Check out the new simplified licensing option that enables unlimited royalty-free distribution of the report engine for externally facing server and web deployment. http://p.sf.net/sfu/businessobjects _______________________________________________ Timidity-talk mailing list Timidity-talk@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/timidity-talk
