Yeah Geoff, it is going to be an academic research if we account all these factors :) And it would be interesting to look at.
But if we maximize other factors (like let audit and stock tracking be on, all the fields in forms are used, time-to-time report generation) and take general conditions, we may have some nice picture. And evaluate the requirements by response time, as you mentioned. It is important.
