Thanks for the reply. I am used to seeing in systems where the customer records and the supplier records are made unique by the customer number and the supplier number. The same concept needs to be implemented in TinyERP. Relying upon uniqueness in name is a silly idea. And as far as the 'partner identifier' integration I agree with your statement:

The whole concept of uniqueness around customers and suppliers needs revisited and reengineered. This should be part of the base package and not something that a user has to 'addon' to achieve.
