The Release Candidate is not really current. 4.2.0 is around now. It's possible that would help. I see no effect when I am logged in as a user or admin. As far as I recall, cancel does just that - it puts the PO into a non-active state (from which it could be restarted). You have to refresh the screen to see any changes. It disappears from the view of outstanding order and, I thought, any reports of virtual stock - but perhaps you have identified a fault.
