I'm not sure I understand your comment... Well in others erp's I know (Baan, Sage) normally there is a Receipts Journal and a receipts table related many2many with invoices table. The receipt is a "declaration" where I say I received X amount due to the payment of the invoices a, b and c. By issuing the receipt I acept the referenced invoices as paid (partial payment should be admited). The receipt reference should correspond to a journal entry. In a previus post someone aswered that one should look for an account statement instead of a receipt...
