Hi, I'm personaly all the more convinced TinyERP is a great product and is a free open source product. Still, because of a certain closeness and especially from the SVN repository (I know you plan to open it), others might doubt about that.
I just found a great site initiative to compare open source ERP's (just what I'm doing now too), with valuable informations about those ERP's: http://opensourceerpguru.com/2008/01/11/open-source-erp-solution-to-consider/ They are recommending products like Ofbiz derivatives and OpenBravo. IMHO, TinyERP is just much better architectured, thus feature richer and is promised to a better future. But here is what they say about TinyERP: > There are other open source ERP solutions out there - ERP5, OpenPro, TinyERP > and others. I did not list them with the others because they are not > developed under Sourceforge or any other public development platform. For me, > that indicates a certain level of closeness, as opposed to the whole > openess concept of open source software. That does not mean that these > solutions are not open source, nor does it amply that they are not as good as > other solutions. -> Sad for TinyERP, one more opportunity to shine at its true value. Hope you get at least the SVN open soon and stop bashing about that. OpenBravo is a far more commercial driven product than TinyERP, still lots of people are misguided about it because of things like that. Having TinyERP to shine as a rock solid truly open source product shoudl benefit both Tiny and its whold community. _______________________________________________ Tinyerp-users mailing list http://tiny.be/mailman/listinfo/tinyerp-users
