Retained earnings is a 'balance' account so this will not be a problem other than for some reporting scenarios. Problems occur with 'unreconciled' accounts and with how to isolate moves into a separate period so that we can control reporting that spans more than one fiscal year and still keep the balances correct. Also you will find that your copied moves are now disassociated from any invoice since the move_id is the link between them and the copied move has a different id. So there are some issues that we are trying to address.
