Hell, I am working with the latest from launchpad: Client: revision 669. Server revision 1141. Web client / eTiny: revision 1891.
Starting up server I see this output line: [Sat Oct 04 07:58:42 2008] INFO:web-services:starting netrpc service, port 8070 When brining up the login page for the web client, it says "Running Server: socket://localhost:8070" so it seems NETRPC is running fine on the server and the web client can connect to it. Yet trying to connect using NETRPC to port 8070 from the GTK client (on a Macbook, OSX 10.5) I get an error "Cannot connect to server". I can connect with XML_RPC to port 8069 just fine however. I have turned on verbose logging and all channels of logging in the client but I see no errors there or in the output from server. I can telnet to port 8070 from the same machine that the gtk client is trying to connect from. Any advice appreciated.
