Hello ! Since this is my first post, I would write " bravo " to TinyERP team ! Your ERP looks quite useful and customizable. I'm still not using this ERP in production but I hope it could be soon...
Let's come to the point. I'm currently dealing with product purchasing and UOM, UOS, categories, etc. It's quite simple, here is an example : I use a varistor V1 in several products. I create the product varistor V1 to use it in a Bill of Material (BOM) later. When I purchase varistors from my "supplier 1" I buy a lot of 100 varistors for 9,32 â¬. When Tiny compute a product price using this varistor in its BOM, I want the unit price (0,0932â¬) to be used of course. I tried many ways unsuccessfully. The better way is maybe this one : I created a new unit : Name "Pack (100)", Factor "100", Category "PCE" (Same category as "Unit", because it's really comparable.) Then in the context of my product "Varistor V1" : I declared "Unit" as the default UOM. (It's UDM in French, I think it's UOM in English.) I declared "Pack (100)" as the purchase UOM. I set Standard Price "0,09" (-> NOT ENOUGH precision, that's the problem...) That way, my purchase oders to "supplier 1" are correctly generated (but the price isn't precise enough), and when I compute a product price using this component, the unit price is correctly used. Another way (better customization, but unsuccessful too) : I use supplier pricelist in the context of the product "varistor V1", but when I make an order to supplier 1, the price used is "standard price" not the one in the pricelist of this supplier. I read several posts about this problem. The one bellow was close : http://www.openerp.com/forum/topic6779.html But most of them rely on older versions of OpenErp. Could you give me the "best practice" applied to OpenERP version 4.2.3.3 ? Best regards.
