I can only judge from the source code I'm following, have nothing to do with 
the rest of developers (and am not against them, of course)..

The code, even now at the rc4 stage, introduces changes in the database 
(schema). 

However, the internal way OpenObject maintains the database, ensures that 
whatever snapshot of 5.0 code you install today will setup a database that will 
still be usable with future versions. The tables will be automatically adapted 
in any case.

In conclusion: you can use the "trunk" version of the code, it is surely usable 
already. But I wouldn't just call it "rc" or "stable", as a matter of principle.

To developers: 5.0 has been a great change since 4.2 and naturally takes quite 
long until it is really finished. We really appreciate that the release 
schedule may be stressed.
