alex... I think both are completely different things.

ecommerce module is an openerp owned ecommerce module, it's not a bridge with
another different platform.

esale_osc is a bridge between oscommerce and openerp. I couldn't make it work
properly as well.

sunil: there is two different connectors for openERP 4.2 esale_osc that is
included on extra-addons and oscommerce-interface publicated by Axelor, that it
seems to be much more complete.

But now, Axelor's module is not accessible in their web and old download links
don't work. But there is new connector for 5.0. You can see the price here:
http://www.axelor.com/services/catalogue.html

jsh.axelor: Please, I would like to know the functionality of this new module.
Support conditions on that price, what's included and what is not, if it is
open source, the licensing conditions, Oscommerce version that connects with..
What about oscommerce contributions? Connector is only for standard oscommerce
or it's possible to connect with zencart.... much more complex...
In 4.2 it was not possible to download products from shop to openERP... is it
included on this new version or not...

Maybe it's because you are changing your website, but I think information
included about connector is not enough to buy it. I would like to know detailed
features to decide if it's better to buy or to contract a developer, or even
contract Axelor to adapt the existent one to my specific needs... I don't know
the best option.
Yesterday I contacted with Axelor using their web contact form but I had no
answer... so I don't know if they received it or not, or simply maybe it's
early to have an answer...

Waiting for your information... thank you very much!!!
