It is not listed in my modules list even if I activate http://www.openerp.com/download/modules/ in my repository list. I know there is an import module operation, but where do I get the .zip file to do this?
I am not sure of the zip file but you can users_ldap is available on
trunk-extra-addons on launchpad. Check
