Hello, I customized the classes res_partner and res_partner_address so that the values of the fields category_id, type and country_id default to customers, default and Germany respectively.
When I create a new partner the form displays these default values as expected. I enter the partner name and try to save the data in the form. Unfortunately tiny saves only the name of the newly created partner, other values (type and country_id, except category_id) simply disappear from the form and consequently these are not saved. However, if I select the values of the fields type and country_id manually every thing is saved as expected. Any explanation of this phenomenon? Suggestions and hints will be highly appreciated.
