I am hitting some dead ends with OpenERP 5 which have led me to think about the
20 hour support contract. Does someone here have a blog entry, an article,
about their experience with pay support with Tiny.be (not with a partner)?
I am trying to implement it in a small manufacturing operation but I have
questions about taxes and how to implement my country's typical case. Because
we are in manufacturing, I would like to get to that but in the short term I
would like to only manage purchases and sales. I had 4.2 working for some time,
but then the financial results were all mixed up because I did not understand
reconciliation back then. Now with the new documentation I am beginning to
understand. I have made many postings that have been left unanswered. I do not
expect Tiny or OpenERP.com to answer them for free, but then I get the feeling
that either the community is not helpful in this project (which I do not
believe) or we are all doing detective work to make our implementations work.
I would say I have now one year experience with the software, and I can take
care of sales and purchases ignoring the fact that I am not using the system
for legal accounting because of the tax problem.
I know OpenERP is not a simple software so I am thinking about the support
contract. In local currency 2250 euros is the salary of a full time engineer
for 3 months, and is my father-in-law that will be making the investment based
on my recommendation, so I ask this here for someone to comment on.
