Hello everyone,

we are setting up OpenErp and we are facing some difficulties in creating new
fields into the product form.

We sell products in US$ and in Euro.

In the product form, the default currency is in US$. Then the sale price of the
product is in US$.
We 've created a sale pricelist for all our products in US$. We have
established rules for each of them according to the quantity ordered.
=> here was the first step and everything is clear.

Now, we would like to create a sale pricelist for the same products but this
time in Euro. The rules should be the same as the US sale pricelist.

Because the rate between Eur and US$ is not constant according to the product:
(ex: we sell Product 1: 10 $ or 7€, we sell Product 2: 15$ or 15€)

we can not create a pricelist in EUR that would depends on the pricelist in US$.

Then, we need to create a new price field in the product form in EURO to
establish the sale price of the product in Eur. Then we would have two sale
price field: one in Euro and one in US.

>From here, we could easily create another pricelist based on EUR.

Please, check above the explanation from OpenErp Book to manage currency:

> "

> Enter the prices in a new independent pricelist and maintain the lists in the

> Create a field in the product form for this new currency and make the new

> the product file,
> Create a new pricelist for the second currency and make it depend on another
> pricelist or on the product price: the conversion between the currencies will
> then be done automatically at the prevailing currency conversion rate.

Here is my question: How to create a new price field in a current product form?
How to manage two currencies in a product form?

Many thanks,

Thibault
