The IP or domain name is set at the configuration wizards when creating
the new database or when configuring the document module. You do not
have to change in the ir_act_url directly. (There is also a menu from
the client side that give access to ir_act_url to change from the client
, if needed)

I make some tests and I find that the IP value is stored int the following postgresql table :
ir_act_url, field url_text.
Correcting the value from localhost to 192.168.1.2 (see my previous post) let
me browse files with FTP.
I can also browse and store files with FTP using the FTP plugin from my files
browser Total Commander.
I try to use filezilla or fireftp plugin for firefox, but I didn't find a
working configuration. If somebody has the solution I'm interested.
