Indeed, just think how many people will have to know if a given Launchpad bug (with a reference to a commit revision please) is in or out the 5.0.1, or for an integrator, you just make it harder to integrate coming patches. So please, that's simple, just tag all the 5-0 branch at the revision that is included in 5.0.1.
