Hello, After reviewing the above data, including: http://doc.openerp.com/book/8/8_20_Config/8_20_Config_accessRights.html#groups-and-users
I'm trying to see if security can be implemented a bit differently. In my scenario I have people in different locations who will need to have access to various partners, events and other objects, based on a custom field associated with each partner or event. So if I add a field called "team_id" to the res.partner data type, is there a way to say that all users in group "groupX" are the only ones that can see res.partner records where the team_id field is set to "X"? And so when you list out records those records which one did not have access to would not be shown, etc. Anyone know if this can be done or another way of going about this? I'm basically trying to create the concept of sales/CRM "teams" and make it so that teams cannot see each others' partners.
