Hi,

We need to use multiple production locations so that we can track inventory
variances per production location.

Different departments are responsible for these locations. Each department and
therefore their location produces different items. There is a common stock
location for the raw materials and the finished goods. However, there must be
controls (eg: internal stock transfers requiring manual validation) for
transfers between the common stock location and each of these unique production
locations.

I think this is similar to subcontracting production, so I have been
investigating the use of auto picking (stock_no_autopicking module), production
locations in the routing, and stock location paths (stock_location module). I
can't figure out the correct configuration of locations, etc, for this though.

The planned scenario is as follows:

1. Sales sells 100 units of Product X from the Stock Location. There are
currently 0 units of Product X in the Stock Location.

2. Automatic creation of Production Order, from the Production A Location to
the Production A Location.

3. Automatic creation of draft internal stock transfer for BOM items of Product
X, from Stock Location to Production A Location. Stock transfer is manually
validated.

4. After validation of stock transfers, Production Order can be started and
completed.

5. Automatic creation of draft internal stock transfer for Product X from
Production A Location to Stock Location. Stock transfer is manually validated.

6. Confirmed Packing Awaiting Availability can now be fulfilled as there are
now stocks available.

I hope someone can help advise on how we can implement this flow.

Thank you very much.

Cheers!
