Hi,

There are some concepts about prices and pricelists that i don't fully
understand. If somebody could clarify it to me, it would be much appreciated.

For a product, you have:
- The cost price (mandatory): clear for me, the name speak by itself.
- The sale price (not mandatory): initially clear but not so clear when you use
it together with a price list and a customer price.
- The price on the supplier list: clear = the price you buy it at your provider.
But first question: what's the difference between the cost price and the price
you buy it at your supplier ? For me it's the same. So, why do we have two
different fields ?

But in a full chain, you'll buy it and sell it. So, let say you want to take
20% of margin on all products of the category "X". You'll define a sale
pricelist where you'll mention that the sale price is based on the purchase
pricelist + 20%.
If you create a SO, select this product you'll see that the customer price is
correct (cost price x 1,20).
But if you create directly an invoice and add the same product it'll add it at
1,00 (the default public price set on the product form). So, do we have to fill
the list price for each product as well ? What's the added value to use a
pricelist if you have to modify individually each product anyway ?

Thanks in advance for you infos.
