Hi guys, I work on a possible migration from Sage to OpenERP for my company but I have still some questions that need to be answered.
First of all, I would like to say that OpenErp is really an amazing project, some incredible work is done here! Here my questions, they are very wide : - Is it possible to migrate the data from SAGE to OERP with an ETL (Pentaho Data Integration by example), or more easily with some CSV files ? - Is it possible to have some inheritance system on product. For example : we have two products, X and Y, X is a sweetshirt and Y is the same product as X but with some flocking on it. We would like to have a parallel between the stocks of the X products and the Y (hope I'm clear...) - It is possible to have somewhere in the software the weighted average cost of the products ? - Our company has some very specific activity, is it possible to add some "home-made" label for a sale. For example between a sale and the packing we would like to have some state : sale, state1,state2,packing, state3, sending ... state1,2,3 are linked to our activity. - Can we add a barcode to a printable document (PDF, OOo etc...), the barcode will be generated from a field of the product - In the same way, can we add on a printable document, the identity of the user who prints this document ? - Can we add several addresses for a customer (shiipping address, billing address etc...) - When you have a sale with 10 products X and only 8 of them in stocks. Does the software generate an alert for the 2 missing and automatically inform the user that he must buy some new products ? I hope my questions are clear :) Thanks for the help guys !
